Nicholas has to watch in horror as his ring is dropped into the toxic waste by Sir Ivor. Sir Ivor is also busy planning the arrangements, with help from Salisbury, to get the drum out by train. Meanwhile a foolish Titus gives Sir Ivor the mirror in exchange for a cricket bat, the mirror getting locked in the cellar.
